The cornerstone of the diversity and inclusion strategy is the restructure of the Diversity Council who will lead and support
programs and practices which reinforce the nine goals outlined in the diversity and inclusion strategic plan.
The Diversity Council will also act as an organizational entity that will review, coordinate, and provide recommendations
about cultural and procedural improvements, which enhance experiences and outcomes across all dimensions of diversity within the UTMB
To position UTMB as the gold standard in evidence-based strategic diversity management in academic healthcare.
To work together to harness the broad spectrum of ideas, experiences and voices that characterize the UTMB community.
