JOB SUMMARY: To support the implementation of the Patient Classification System for UTMB Nursing Services by monitoring the accuracy of patient acuity ratings, developing data reports, providing feedback to nursing leadership and assisting with staff education. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High school or equivalent and one year related experience. Registered Records Administrator (RRA), Accredited Record Technician (ART), or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR). EQUIPMENT: Standard office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard office environment. Vision, hearing, talking and sense of touch abilities must be adequate to enable one to quickly and accurately perform tasks such as reading small print, reading from medical records, defining details, sending and receiving clear and accurate oral and written communication. Frequent periods of concentrated or focused attention will be needed to accurately perform calculations and compile reports. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
