JOB SUMMARY:
To manage and coordinate the Quality Assurance
and Quality Control program for improved departmental efficiency, image quality,
and radiation protection measures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develops, facilitates, and oversees Departmental/Interdepartmental
Continuous Process Improvement Initiatives.

Partners with managers, seniors, and physicists to monitor and ensure
compliance with Quality Control measures specific to radiation protection
and equipment.

Collects data, conducts data analysis, and provides reports for Quality
Management meetings.

Educates and assists managers in developing appropriate process changes from
data collection analysis.

Corrects QA errors in PACS/RIS and maintains the QA database.

Maintains accreditation records for imaging modalities and ensures
compliance with state and federal regulations.

Ensures compliance of areas of responsibility with hospital, institution,
and Joint Commission requirements.

Partners with Billing Manager to implement educational sessions for
follow-up of billing errors.

Reviews trends demonstrated by risk management reports and develops action
plan for improvement.

Assists in the development, interpretation, and implementation of
departmental policies and procedures.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department, and provides
mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

Attends Quality Management meetings.

Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
(Healthcare Administration or Ancillary Service) and two years of Quality
Management or Process Improvement Experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:
Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or
office environments. May be exposed to such occupational hazards such as
communicable diseases, harmful chemicals, and/or disoriented or combative
patients.
OTHER:
Specific job requirements or physical location
