• Interviews patient, takes mammograms, palpates breasts, spots compressions, reviews outside films, and instructs in BSE.
• Performs wire localizations, ultrasound, and cyst aspirations.
• Interprets previous film and reports of mammograms.
• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs of mammography equipment.
• Assures that rooms are equipped with necessary supplies and linens.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

New graduates with no experience or certification may be hired. However, these incumbents will be brought in at two steps below base. When the individual completes one year as a technologist and is ARRT registered, he/she will then be brought up to minimum.
