Job Summary:
To provide supervisory and specialized support in the performance of daily tasks in an assigned radiology film file room.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Performs routine tasks in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.

Pulls and prepares film folders for clinics, units, and physicians.

Maintains film folders with correct documentation and re-files folders for easy access.

Operates computer and radiographic equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction of images,
documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.

Prepares patients films for interpretation by radiologist.
-
Communicates by telephone and directly with health providers regarding radiology files in a responsible manner.

Practices safety measures in radiographic and Environment of Care.

Applies the profession’s code of ethics and confidentiality in all aspects of the film library

Performs other related duties as required.

Evaluates employee work performance.

Maintains all records related to ETC and HRMS.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent and three years experience required.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital record library environment. Some lifting, moving, and positioning of equipment and
records may be required.

qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums
