Job Summary:
To provide professional and
administrative management skills in directing physical therapy programs.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Supervises and manages
all physical therapy services in assigned areas.
- Develops, maintains,
and interprets departmental policies.
- Establishes
departmental objectives.
- Maintains, monitors and
assists in the development of departmental budgets.
- Represents department
on routine administrative matters involving other departments.
- Coordinates the
recruitment, evaluation, and professional development of staff.
- Schedules work
assignments for all staff.
- Identifies appropriate
internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce
compliance.
- Performs related duties
as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and five
years of experience. Certified P/T and licensed in the state of Texas.
Equipment:
Standard physical therapy
equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital and/or
clinical environment within a correctional managed care facility.
