JOB SUMMARY:
To provide professional support in planning, coordinating, implementing,
evaluating, and administering pulmonary care for individuals or groups of
patients.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Assesses the respiratory care needs of
patients.

Identifies the contraindications and possible
complications of patients receiving respiratory care.

Initiates, evaluates, and reviews respiratory
care plans that reflect a multidisciplinary approach to appropriate preventive
action.

Sets up and maintains respiratory equipment.

Performs blood gas analysis and respiratory
function tests.

Participates in patient rounds.
-
Maintains patient records and equipment
inventory.
-
Adheres to internal controls and reporting
structure.
-
Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
-
Graduation from an approved school of
Respiratory Therapy, or completion of the associate degree equivalency and
successful passage of the NBRC exam.
-
CRTT – Certified Respiratory Therapy
Technician.
- RRT - Registered
Respiratory Therapist eligible.
- No experience required.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard respiratory therapy equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard respiratory therapy environment.
OTHER:
Specific job requirements or physical location of some
