Job Summary:

To provide management direction and coordination for the Cleft Palate Program through collaborative teamwork.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

  • Coordinates with the Medical Director planning for the delivery of services and compliance with regulatory and accreditation agencies for patient care and operations management.
  • Recommends, develops, and implements procedures, protocols, standards, and policies for patient care, service delivery, and support operations.
  • Monitors patient volume activity, quality of service, and operations.
  • Delegates program objectives and responsibilities and assigns resources.
  • Serves as liaison with other departments, physicians, other specialists, and outside agencies.
  • Represents the program to community agencies and programs.
  • Develops and recommends annual program budget in collaboration with the Associate Administrator and the Medical Director.
  • Monitors monthly expenditure reports to assess budget status.
  • Provides for data collection and transmittal of patient demographic, financial, diagnostic, and service/procedure delivery to support medical record and billing functions.
  • Monitors and evaluates charges or fee structure; proposes rate changes. 
  • Monitors clinic revenue and expense data, generating periodic reports.
  • Coordinates the recruitment, evaluation, and professional development of subordinates.
  • Plans and directs marketing and promotional activities.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities.
  • Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Master's degree in related field and four years related experience. Certified by the ASHA. Licensure from the Texas State Board of Examiners in Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Equipment:

Standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

Standard hospital environment.
