Job Summary:
To provide advanced professional skills in the management of medical record systems.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Supervises staff in preparing and analyzing medical documents.

Coordinates the work flow within the section and ensures that the quality and quantity conforms to established production standards.

Develops, implements and revises section policies, procedures, and production standards.

Interprets and administers personnel policies.

Manages the acquisition and maintenance of section equipment and supplies.
-
Controls the circulation of medical records and is responsible for releasing information to authorized individuals in accordance with established guidelines.

Collects and analyzes patient and institutional data.
-
Represents Medical Records in the presentation of records that are subpoenaed by the courts.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.

Standard office equipment.
