Job Summary:
To provide advanced professional skills in the leadership of team members to work within a self-directed/empowered team environment.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Practices and coaches the team concept approach, prepares action plans, and shares common outcomes with other Health Information Management (HIM) Team Leaders.

Develops electronic data reporting tools and coaches team members to proficiently utilize the tools in performing their daily responsibilities.

Collects/analyzes patient and institutional data and initiates necessary action steps.

Identifies, initiates, implements, and manages process improvements.

Interprets and administers personnel policies.

Working with other Team Leaders, establishes priorities, and coordinates the scheduling of all HIM personnel and resources.

Submits input to the budgeting process. Manages the budget throughout the year.

Participates in the interview process and provides input on employee performance appraisals.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
MRT program graduate or equivalent and four years of experience.
