JOB SUMMARY:
To coordinate reporting of data collection for Hospital / Clinical quality
management improvement programs, collecting data in compliance with the Hospital
Performance Improvement Plan, the Quality Improvement Plans of the individual
hospital and clinical departments, Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Organizes quality assessment activities for
one or more clinical departments.

Collects data, designs studies and conducts
data analysis.

Sets data collection compliance objectives
and ensures that targets are achieved.

Educates and assists clinical departments in
developing appropriate process changes from data collection analysis.

Ensures compliance of areas of
responsibility with hospital, CMS and Joint Commission requirements.

Facilitates proactive and reactive process
changes based on data outcomes.

Attends departmental quality management
meetings.

Facilitates proactive and reactive patient
safety activities including Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and Failure Mode
Effects Analyses (FMEA) in regard to the facilitation process, planning,
implementation and evaluation of effectiveness of process changes.

Adheres to internal controls and reporting
structure.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
-
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Health
Information Administrator (RHIA).

Five years clinical experience and one year
experience in quality management and process improvement or comparable
experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:
Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments.
