Job Summary:
To provide basic skills in performing laboratory procedures.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Performs laboratory test procedures within scope of training.

Follows established procedures for collecting and processing biological specimens for analysis.

Recognizes factors that affect measurements of results and takes action according to predetermined protocols.

Assists in compilation, tabulation, and preliminary analysis of data.

Operates a variety of laboratory equipment.
-
Recognizes equipment malfunctions and makes minor modifications and repairs.

Performs routine quality control and maintains accurate records.

Utilizes computer systems.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a basic science or equivalent. No experience required.
Equipment:
Standard laboratory equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard laboratory environment.
