Job Summary:
To perform newborn hearing
screenings using automated screening equipment.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Performs automated
hearing screenings.
- Obtains and enters
patient demographic information in database and screening device.
- Downloads screening
results from hearing screening device to database.
- Enters screening
results on discharge planning sheet in the medical record.
- Completes and
distributes screening result letters and informational brochure.
- Performs daily
biological equipment calibration to ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Maintains patient’s
privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
- Performs related duties
as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent.
Must be able to successfully complete the following training requirements:
Automated hearing screening, Infection control and universal precautions, and
CPR.
Equipment:
Standard automated screening equipment and office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and / or office environments.
Other:
Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to

Any
qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums
require the prior approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
