Job Summary:
To provide technical
skills in the preparation of all anesthesia equipment used during surgical and
related medical procedures.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Assists in preparing
operation rooms for a variety of anesthetic procedures.
- Sets up anesthetic
machine, tracheal intubation, monitoring equipment, and other supplies
peculiar to type of anesthesia.
- Cleans anesthetic
machine and other equipment after completion of anesthesia.
- Maintains inventory
records and orders, stores, and distributes anesthesia supplies, drugs and
equipment.
- Performs related duties
as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent.
No experience required.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard operating room, recovery room, intensive care environment, and
special procedures areas. May be exposed to hazards resulting from toxic,
explosive and inflammable gases.
