Job Summary:
To oversee, supervise and
perform in-lab and portable diagnostic studies done by the EEG and Evoked
Potential Department and to provide instruction and direction to other
technicians in the performance of EEG and evoked potential studies.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Coordinates work
schedules and supervises and directs the assignment of personnel to perform
neurophysiological studies.
- Monitors quality of EEG
and evoked potential (EP) recordings and gives direction and instruction to
other technicians as needed.
- Conducts in-service
training sessions for employees and Neurology residents as needed.
- Performs
neurophysiology studies.
- Interviews and
evaluates technician applicants and employees.
- Develops and implements
new procedures and protocols with the approval of the Director.
- Monitors the status of
equipment and supplies and communicates needs to Senior Secretary.
- Supervises entries into
EEG and EP data bases.
- Adheres to internal
controls established for department.
- Performs related duties
as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree or
equivalent and four years related experience. ABRET registered.
Equipment:
Standard EEG and evoked potential equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and / or office environments.
Other:
