JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all business and marketing activities including fiscal and budgetary affairs, delegated human resource management, business operation systems, information systems, budget development and maintenance, and other activities essential to the successful operations of the Imaging Center.  Acts as an integral member of the center leadership team and works collateral with all other imaging clinics.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares, justifies, and administers budgets for the center and its related programmatic areas within institutional guidelines and in accordance with strategic plans. 
  • Establishes and implements plans to promote the marketing endeavors for the Imaging Center and all other imaging clinics.
  • Develops strategies using information systems to manage and improve center effectiveness. 
  • Analyzes the performance (profitability and productivity) of the center and makes recommendations for action.
  • Evaluates the performance of direct reports annually using the institutional Performance Management Program. 
  • Keeps the Director of Radiology Clinical Operations apprised of potential and actual situations/issues.
  • Coordinates physical resource utilization including space planning, inventory control, and property maintenance. 
  • Demonstrates commitment to improving service and product quality for internal and external customers. 
  • Establishes and implements plans to promote the development and continued education and training of support staff by creating and maintaining an environment that encourages and motivates employees and teams to higher levels of performance.  
  • Adheres to internal controls established for department.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or a related field and two years of business related experience in a professional/administrative capacity. 

EQUIPMENT:

Standard office equipment.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment. Must be able to type written communications, enter and retrieve data via a computer keyboard and monitor.  Must be able to visually manipulate and analyze data.  Must be able to lift 25 pounds, do a considerable amount of walking, lifting, pushing, and reaching.  Must be able to communicate verbally and clearly via the telephone, in person, and also via written material with employees, patients, and visitors.
