Job Summary:
To provide biomedical/clinical engineering skills in either the purchasing and maintenance or interfacing of patient care, laboratory equipment, or providing technical support for biomedical research.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Provides instruction to departmental technicians in operational biomedical engineering procedures.

Evaluates the quality and performance of equipment being considered for purchase, ensures that equipment meets standards, and prepares formal reports on equipment maintenance, interfacing design and calibration; adapts equipment for new or unique requirements.

Oversees research test procedures and modifies design as needed.

Assists with and conducts biomedical research.

May design research paradigms.

Modifies and/or writes software to collect and analyze data.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and three years of experience.
Equipment:
Standard laboratory, test, and/or office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard engineering and/or office environment.
Other:
