Job Summary:
To provide intermediate level specialized skills in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of scientific, electronic, computer, or mechanical equipment.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Develops and tests machinery, and computer or electronic equipment.

Draws detail drawings or sketches for fabrication.

Devises or assembles new or modified mechanical or electronic components.

Conducts tests to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.

Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.

Consults with medical or research personnel to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.

Repairs equipment and utilizes machinery, and electronic or computer instrumentation.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent and three years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard electrical, mechanical research, and/or machine-shop equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard electrical, mechanical research, machine-shop and/or office
environment.
