Job Summary:
To assist department division directors and faculty with current and planned research activities.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Works jointly with Division Directors to facilitate and support research.

Confers with principal investigators to formulate research and analyses plans.

Provides technical advice and assists in solving research related problems.

Plans, directs, and coordinates research projects.

Serves as consultant and manager for designated research projects.

Manages, analyzes and interprets data utilizing statistical and data management software.

Participates in grant proposal preparation and development.

Develops and maintains research budgets and monitors expenses to better manage grant-related expenditures.

Assists graduate students with data management and analyses

Monitors the selection, evaluation, promotion, education and utilization of all data entry/research support staff, to better develop, plan and schedule the workflow of the department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and four years of experience in programming activities, developing and validating questionnaires, directing large multi-faceted studies and managing research budgets. Knowledge of major database management/analyses systems (especially SAS and Excel) required.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
