Job Summary:
To assist the Director, Associate Director, and Research Faculty of the Center on Aging with current and planned research activities.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Works jointly with the Associate Director of Research to facilitate and support research.

Confers with principal investigators to formulate research and analyses plans.

Provides technical advice and assists in solving research related problems.

Plans, directs, and coordinates research projects.

Serves as consultant and manager for designated research projects.

Analyzes and interprets data.

Participates in grant proposal preparation and development.

Develops and maintains research budgets and monitors expenses to better manage grant-related expenditures.

Monitors the selection, evaluation, promotion, education and utilization of all data entry/research support staff, to better develop, plan and schedule the work flow of the Center.

Reviews scientific literature.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Science or Administration or equivalent in related field and five years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard office and/or scanning equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard office and field environment.
Other:
