Job Summary:

To assist the Director, Associate Director, and Research Faculty of the Center on Aging with current and planned research activities.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

  • Works jointly with the Associate Director of Research to facilitate and support research.
  • Confers with principal investigators to formulate research and analyses plans.
  • Provides technical advice and assists in solving research related problems.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates research projects.
  • Serves as consultant and manager for designated research projects.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Participates in grant proposal preparation and development.
  • Develops and maintains research budgets and monitors expenses to better manage grant-related expenditures.
  • Monitors the selection, evaluation, promotion, education and utilization of all data entry/research support staff, to better develop, plan and schedule the work flow of the Center.
  • Reviews scientific literature.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Science or Administration or equivalent in related field and five years related experience.

Equipment: 

Standard office and/or scanning equipment. 

Working Environment:

Standard office and field environment.
