JOB SUMMARY:

Represents exterior maintenance interests in construction projects, design, construction inspection, and serves as a communication link on exterior maintenance projects.  Provides support to landscape maintenance teams to promote a pleasing exterior environment.

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

• Identifies and implements new approaches and techniques to solve landscape problems.

• Benchmarks with others to develop “best practice” landscape management programs.

• Effectively serves as UTMB contact with outside agencies for special landscape issues.

• Obtains grants from outside agencies for special projects.

• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

• Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree or equivalent and 4 years of related experience

Pest Control License as certified by the Texas Pest Control Board

EQUIPMENT:

All tools and power equipment associated with ground maintenance

Standard office equipment for basic computer access and e-mail

 WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Outside working conditions.  May be exposed to inclement weather.
