JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining utility systems standards and coordinating the activities of contractors and service providers.  Also, responsible for maintaining system documentation, providing technical support to maintenance and development and have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.

 

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

  • Provide engineering documentation and guidance to project managers, maintenance managers during the design and construction phases of projects.

  • Uses proprietary software to manage and develop programs for the Energy Management System.

  • Coordinates with external entities to insure continuance of operations.

  • Develops systems standards.

  • Examines energy use at the building level and does trend analysis

  • Review engineering plans and specifications for compliance with UTMB design criteria and guide lines

  • Perform life cycle cost analysis

  • Stays up to date with national standards and codes associated with facilities management and construction.

  • Performs related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years of related experience.

 

EQUIPMENT:

Standard office equipment.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Standard office environment.  Exposure to construction environment.
