JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the collaborative efforts of the
Utilities Department and is the primary contact on Utility related matters.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Identifies and implements new approaches and techniques to solve problems.

Negotiates new utility rates.
-
Benchmarks with others to develop “best practice” energy management
programs.

Ensures Utilities programs are effectively integrated with other FOAM, SS,
and UTMB programs.

Develops and manages Utilities budget.

Develops and manages internal billing system and rate structure
-
Actively manages UTMB energy costs using advanced monitoring systems and
proactive programs.

Prepares technical specs for equipment, repairs, and contracts.
-
Provides mediation and conflict resolution for work group.
-
Develops close working relationships with strategic customers and partners.
-
Identifies appropriate internal controls for process; provides mechanisms to
monitor and enforce compliance.
-
Supervises a Staff of utility system experts.
-
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
-
Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and six years of
related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard office, shop, and machine room
environments
OTHER:
