JOB SUMMARY:

Provides skilled technical work involving electronic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control of typical state-of-the-art hospital facilities systems and equipment. 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Installs, troubleshoots and repairs 120, 208, 240, and 480 volt controls and equipment. Works on HVAC problems in Patients rooms research facilities and animal rooms.

  • Read, draw, and interpret electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and HVAC schematics, one line diagrams and control sequence of operations.

  • Programs microprocessors for initial commissioning, tune up control loops and calibration of analog inputs.

  • Must perform functions on live circuits and in operating controls enclosures.

  • Provide assistance to Facilities Operations Technicians with knowledge of Siemens, Johnson, and TAC Control Systems to perform problem solving and customer service tasks to resolve comfort and operational room issues.

  • Perform calibration, maintenance and repair of electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls using proprietary software to ensure required temperature and humidity to all campus buildings.

  • Maintain and repair Continuous Monitoring Equipment (CEM) for stack emissions testing.

  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

  • Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent and four years related experience.  

 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment  

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard office environment, support of 24 hour operations.
