JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in customer interface for Landscape Maintenance.   Has landscape maintenance responsibility as assigned by supervisor. 

 

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

  • Performs landscaping tasks, i.e. detailed edging, weeding, watering, etc. with supervision.

  • Monitors area and reports problems to appropriate person.

  • Assist in cultivating, pruning, transplanting, fertilizing and watering of shrubbery, hedges and trees.

  • Prepares ground for planting.

  • Plants and maintains flowerbeds.

  • Removes leaves and rubbish from grounds.

  • Watches for pests, diseases or other deteriorating agents and reports to immediate supervisor.

  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

  • Performs related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent and 6 months experience required.

 

EQUIPMENT:

All tools and power equipment associated with grounds maintenance.

Standard office equipment for basic computer access and e-mail.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Outside working conditions.  May be exposed to inclement weather.

Exposure to adverse weather conditions and hazards such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke and loud noises.

 

OTHER:

Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
