JOB SUMMARY:
Works with other
members on project team to assure that project management, communication and
administration with regard to budget and schedule are executed in a timely
manner. To serve as the principal project coordinator for design, construction,
interiors and move-in phases; and the principal contact on projects for
Administration, Architectural/Engineering firms, and Office of Facilities
Planning and Construction.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Evaluates general contractor and architects/engineers.

Assures the development of project definition including space utilization
program, equipment list and adjacency requirements.

Verifies that budget and schedule are consistent with scope of work.

Manages budget and schedules throughout project.

Manages contracts for architectural/engineering services.

Responsible for closing project accounts.

Assures that all items on the current Critical Task List are addressed and
resolved on each project.

Develops and updates Project Status Reports/Tracking System.

Liaison to Office of Facilities Planning and Construction, Austin, Texas,
for UTMB.

Follows and supports the guidelines established by the Institution and the
Development Process Workgroup.

Assures the development of project definition including space utilization
program, equipment list and adjacency requirements.

Provides team leadership through mentoring.

Seeks creative means to better serve internal and external customers.
-
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture/Engineering or
equivalent and three years related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
All tools of the trade including test equipment
Standard office equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard office environment
