Job Summary:
To provide skilled painting work to all areas of UTMB.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Applies coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces.

Smoothes and removes old paint from surfaces.

Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints.

Selects premixed paint or mixes required portions to prepare the specified color.

Erects scaffolding or sets up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.

Cleans and maintains all painting equipment.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent and two years related experience.
Equipment:
Equipment, tools and materials associated with the specialized field and/or trade.
Working Environment:
-
Work may be performed on ladders or scaffolding, in restricted areas.

May be exposed to inclement weather when working out of doors.

Exposure to fumes and caustic solvents.
