Job Summary:
To oversee performance of preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance functions and to supervise, coordinate, and direct the activities of maintenance work crews.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Coordinates and schedules preventive maintenance routines and repair work for assigned crew. Identifies labor and maintenance resources needed. Maintains records of work performance.

Oversees work of crew to maintain quality and quantity standards complying with applicable codes, regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.

Assists craftsmen and maintenance leaders with troubleshooting emergency or complex repairs.

Screens job applicants and makes hiring recommendations to manager. With assistance from manager, handles personnel issues as necessary including counseling and disciplinary action.

Assists in coordination of maintenance work performed by contractors and in inspection of facilities being built or remodeled by contractors.

Oversees various administrative duties including ordering supplies and equipment, filling out work tickets, etc.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent in related field and 3 years of related experience.
Equipment:
Standard equipment used in allied trades.
Working Environment:
Standard office and shop conditions.
