Job Summary:
To provide high-level skills in the area of plumbing, electrical maintenance/repair, carpentry or painting.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Performs various allied trade skills such as painting, paint mixing and color matching.
- Assists carpenter in such tasks as construction, repair and maintenance of wood structures.
- Performs skilled electrical work such as repair and adjustment of electrical equipment, appliances, and lines.
- Repairs faucets and pipe fittings.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent and three years experience in related field.
Equipment:
Standard equipment used in allied trades.
Working Environment:
Some exposure to weather and physical hazards.
Other:
Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to
this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby
subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
