Job Summary:
To provide management and supervisory skills involving the rental and financial administration of apartments and dormitories.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Administers selection of tenants, interpreting regulations and deciding on doubtful cases.
- Supervises system of occupancy records, payments of rent and deposits.
- Inventories furniture, supplies and equipment.
- Formulates policies, rules and regulations.
- Interviews applicants and tenants concerning complaints.
- Collects delinquent rent.
- Approves all purchase orders, payment of bills and appointment of employees.
- Prepares departmental budget.
- Inspects properties to determine need for repair and maintenance work.
- Plans program of improvements for building and grounds.
- Prepares forms for vacating tenants and assembles records pertaining to vacationing
tenants.
- Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and two years related experience.
