Job Summary:
To provide professional dietetic and supervisory skills in the planning, directing, and serving of nutritionally balanced meals for patients.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Supervises the planning and preparation of special and routine dietary needs of patients and coordinates the serving of these meals with the kitchen and hospital units.
- Ensures that quality control procedures are maintained during the serving.
- Inspects kitchens and kitchen facilities to ensure cleanliness and operation efficiency.
- Schedules and supervises the activities of Dieticians.
- Maintains records and completes reports as necessary.
- Maintains office supplies.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field and three years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard food preparation equipment and materials.
Working Environment:
Standard food preparation for hospital or clinical environment.
