Job Summary:
To perform supervisory work in directing and coordinating the housekeeping quality assurance program.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Inspects work areas to determine quality of work by individuals, groups, and divisions.
- Conducts time and motion studies and work load and staffing evaluations of areas and individual assignments.
- Makes recommendations for improvement to department head and assists in developing and revising work procedures and schedules.
- Conducts follow-up studies.
- Determines the need for on-the-job training and instructs all levels of departmental personnel on the proper use of materials, chemicals, and equipment.
- Records and reports equipment maintenance deficiencies.
- Relieves as floor supervisor which includes conducting evaluations on assigned personnel.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent and four years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard housekeeping equipment and materials.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital
environment. May be exposed to communicable diseases,
radiation or combative patients.
