Job Summary:
To provide supervisor skills involving the custodial maintenance of buildings at UTMB.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Schedules and assigns the workload of the Building Attendants.
- Inspects area of responsibility for cleanliness and orderliness.
- Assists the Assistant Director in writing work procedures.
- Writes cleaning standards.
- Issues cleaning materials and supplies to building attendants.
- Inspects equipment after each shift to ensure that it is clean and in working condition for the next shift.
- Assists in on-the-job training programs.
- Prepares daily and weekly reports.
- Records and maintains records.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school or equivalent and two years of related experience.
Equipment:
Standard housekeeping equipment and materials.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital
environment. May be exposed to communicable diseases,
radiation or combative patients.
