JOB SUMMARY: To provide service, information and aid to all citizens as circumstances require; prevent crime, suppress disturbance, investigate criminal offenses and arrest offenders. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 2 years of service as a police officer in the United States; and possess a current peace officer license issued by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCLE) and less than a 2 year break in service as a commissioned police officer. Possess a valid Texas Class C drivers license. EQUIPMENT: Standard law enforcement equipment and vehicles. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: May be exposed to adverse weather conditions. Position may be hazardous. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
