Job Summary:
To provide advanced skills necessary to patrol and guard buildings and property, and to enforce parking regulations.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:
- Guards and patrols university facilities to protect property.
- Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to unauthorized areas.
- Assures that buildings are accessible during opening hours and secure when not in use.
- Directs visitors to their desired destinations.
- Responds to emergency calls and directs activities during adverse weather conditions.
- Adheres to internal controls established for department.
- Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years related experience. Must posses a Valid Texas Class C Drivers License and complete a defensive driving course in the first six months of employment.
Equipment:
Standard law enforcement equipment and vehicles.
Working Environment:
May be exposed to adverse weather conditions. Position may be hazardous.
