JOB SUMMARY: Provide professional advisory, technical and administrative skills in the supervision of the daily operations of data & analytics team. Ensure the efficient high-level analytical support for supply chain activities, including the management of the Hospital and Clinics’ Master Item File data management and e-catalog systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Assists with operational planning, as well as organizing, staffing, staff development and training and supervising of assigned staff members. · Assists customers in supply planning and utilization management, recommending and assisting in implementing systems as required to make the supply chain more efficient and effective. · Serves as a liaison or member of the following key groups in the supply chain: nursing, clinicians, physicians, vendors, Supply Management (Logistics) and the Value-Analysis Coordinating Committee for product introductions and analyses of supply utilization. · Compiles and analyzes reports to identify opportunities for improved supply utilization, standardization, and process improvement; evaluates findings and makes recommendations. · Identifies cost savings opportunities for products currently in use through review and analysis of group purchasing contracts and market data. · Monitors supply utilization and purchase patterns on a routine/scheduled basis; compiles reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for addition/deletion of products and/or process changes to reduce operating cost and ensure continuity of supply. · Reviews and/or maintains supply catalogs and approves changes to the item master file to ensure they are current. · Coordinates and monitors activities of strategic suppliers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations; and identifies opportunities for process improvement, service enhancement and/or cost reductions. · Assists customers in the development of supply management policies and procedures ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations. · Through the use of PeopleSoft and Spend Compass reports, as well as analytical tools, identify and track opportunities for expense reduction.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS: · Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of related experience with one (1) year experience at a lead/supervisory level. Advanced Professional Supply Chain certification (CPM, CPPO, CMRP or equivalent) or professional licensure in a healthcare field (RN, etc) obtained within 18 months of appointment in title.
EQUIPMENT: Standard office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard office environments.
