Job Summary:
To provide direction, planning, leadership, supervision, and overall management of a training function. Plans, implements, and evaluates a variety of professional and technical development programs for all employees.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Assesses training needs in consultation with management to develop the human resources to accomplish the strategic goals of the department and university.

Develops curriculum and training programs to meet user needs.

Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates continuing education programs, skills training, leadership and management development programs.

Establishes schedule for implementation of classes.

Performs all supervisory duties.

Evaluates current procedures, policies and practices to develop and implement alternate methods designed for improvement of work.

Remains current on educational theory and trends to introduce new methods of training.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and five years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard audiovisual,
training and/or office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard office and/or
classroom environment.
