Job Summary:

To provide professional skills in the development, coordination, administration, and marketing efforts of faculty continuing education programs.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

  • Researches, develops, and coordinates the implementation of new continuing education courses for faculty.
  • Attends initial planning meetings with UTMB faculty.
  • Prepares budgets for proposed continuing education courses and designs and implements marketing plans and materials.
  • Schedules conference facilities and coordinates room and audio/visual accommodations for lecturers.
  • Plans menus, social events, and entertainment for conferences.
  • Prepares course syllabus and monitors registration.
  • Reviews course evaluations and recommends changes to course chairman.
  • Prepares the final course budget and reconciles the course account.
  • Attends post-course meeting for course review.
  • Conduct needs analysis to enhance courses offered.
  • Adheres to internal controls established for department.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Associate's degree or equivalent in related field and three years experience.

Equipment: 

Standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
