Job Summary:
To plan, implement, coordinate and manage social affairs, fundraising events,
and alumni related activities for the School. The planning and execution of
annual fundraising events are key areas of responsibility, i.e. Donor
Recognition Luncheons, Alumni Recognition Breakfasts, Homecoming, and events
specific to each school.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Partners with Office of University Advancement and faculty or staff on Alumni
Relations on development and implementation of Homecoming program.

Plans and oversees UTMB reunion weekend with representatives of all schools.

Supports OUA during Development Board Weekend in promotion of individual
schools.

Identifies key individuals for recognition at special events and programs.

Solicits alumni and community support as volunteers and financial donors for
events such as golf tournament, professional recognition days.

Manages all aspects of event to attain established goals and objectives.

Writes communications, scripts, and presentations for delivery of public
addresses.

Composes correspondence to alumni, donors, potential donors, and supporters of
the institution or school.

Collaborates with OUA Public Affairs in the creation of brochures, programs,
marketing material.

Establishes and maintains a network of key contacts to aid in development and
efforts to strengthen alumni involvement.

Serves as UTMB Liaison with alumni associations, advisory council, community,
corporation, and foundation individuals and groups.

Supports other business and student programs within the schools as needed.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two years related experience.

Standard office equipment.
