JOB SUMMARY:
To provide highly specialized illustrative and/or supervisory skills for
projects of above average complexity.
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

Prepares final illustrations, drawings,
diagrams, and models to illustrate medical and surgical findings and
procedures in leaflets, bulletins, posters, announcements, brochures, exhibits
and other such media.

Confers with department heads, faculty
members, research personnel, or affiliated agencies regarding assignments, and
advises as to the most suitable method to be employed to achieve desired
results.

Determines size and arrangement of
illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, arranges
layout based on available space, knowledge of layout procedures, and esthetic
design concepts.

Constructs teaching models in plaster, wax,
plastics, and other materials to show anatomy, physiology, and various parts
of the body.

Participates in and supervises the production
of drawings of surgical procedures, anatomical specimens, or other assigned
projects.

Adheres to internal controls established for
department.

Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in related field and one year related experience.
EQUIPMENT:
Standard equipment used for medical illustration production.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard multimedia environment.
OTHER:
Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to
