Job Summary:
To supervise and coordinate an institutional publications program.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Supervises and participates in the coordination of publications to ensure the completed project meets its intended purpose and the desired level of quality.

Reviews copy to ensure clarity; to comply with laws, rules, or regulations; and to verify accuracy of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and factual data.

Advises writers and contributors on content changes.

Meets with client to clarify specifications of a project.

Coordinates and maintains project schedule.

Advises client as needed throughout completion of project.

Recommends and coordinates the use of support services such as art, photography, and printing.

Verifies that standards such as typesetting and design specifications are met during each stage of project.

Reviews production charges and project estimates.

Acts as liaison with support services departments to promote communication.

Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent and three years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
Other:
