Job Summary:
To provide professional and/or supervisory skills necessary to edit and evaluate articles and manuscript.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Plans, organizes, supervises, and participates in the assembling and editing of information, documents, and other material for publication.

Edits publications such as manuals, handbooks, articles, and proposals.

Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinates and makes recommendations and changes.

Maintains quality control over all aspects of publication, including the final presentation of material from the standpoint of timely productions, informative, and readability.

Confers with department representatives as to their publication needs and resolves problems concerned with developing and publishing subject material.

Secures support services such as artwork and photography and assigns personnel to produce pictures and illustrations.

Develops comprehensive estimates for publication projects utilizing estimates from other service departments.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field and three years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
Other:
