Job Summary:

To provide the editorial and proofreading services needed for the publications of manuscripts and technical articles.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

• Reviews all incoming manuscripts and documents for accuracy and completeness of content.
• Works with client to add, delete, or change print, graphic or art content when needed.
• Proofs all documents for spelling, typographical errors, grammar and format prior to publication.
• Writes finished manuscripts as assigned.
• Rewrites rough draft documents submitted for publication.
• Analyzes data for charts or graphs; provides consultation on correct format.
• Assures fidelity of print and art production to the original, approved document.
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

Required Education / Experience:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field no experience necessary.

Equipment: 

Standard office equipment.

Working Environment:

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
