Job Summary:
To provide professional and/or supervisory skills in preparing informational materials and news releases.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks:

Assists in the supervision of professional and clerical personnel.

Provides advanced journalism skills in the coordination, planning, and implementation of informational and public relations programs.

Confers with department heads and other administrative personnel as to the methods to be employed in conveying information to the public.

Develops ideas, collects information, arranges for photographs, and plans television and radio program formats.

Edits technical material for grammar and readability, and arranges format and make-up of publications.

Arranges for the ordering, printing, and/or distribution of promotional items or publications.

Adheres to internal controls established for department.

Performs related duties as required.
Required Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in and three years related experience.
Equipment:
Standard office equipment.
Working Environment:
Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
