JOB SUMMARY:

Assist Transactional Accounting Management/Leadership and to act as the lead Functional Analyst by providing functional support to end users and works with technical team to ensure that the systems are set up to perform expected processes.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains expertise and coordinates system maintenance and updates by using independent judgment in leading major projects/implementations.

  • Maintains system setups and conduct daily operational transactions as required.

  • Provides production support by analyzing, designing, and testing solutions to complex problems and working with technical team to resolve critical production issues.

  • Train functional end users and other institutional partners with application design, modifications, and new business processes.

  • Acts as liaison between end users and technical team.

  • Create test plans, execute tests, evaluate results and recommend solutions.

  • Develop queries and reports to assist with functional end users daily operations.

  • Maintain specific functional area documentation in a central location defined by Functional owners.

  • Adheres to internal controls established for department.

  • Provide transactional finance information to management/supervisor to assist with making informed management/supervisor decisions.

  • Assist and participate in implementation of system enhancements/activities as it is related to work process changes for efficiency.

  • Identify and document requirements and functional specifications.

 

MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Performs related duties as required.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or equivalent experience and two years of related work experience in payroll, accounting, and/or business.

  

EQUIPMENT:

 Standard office equipment.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION:

 Standard hospital, clinical, laboratory and/or office environments.

 Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
