JOB SUMMARY:
Senior decision support analyst is responsible
for the maintenance and updating of the Eclipsys (TII) Decision Support System
and for the timely and accurate reporting of information from the system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Examines historical
financial/clinical data to provide senior management with valuable data upon
which to make relevant financial and operational decisions
- Coordinate the
loading and processing data for the Eclipsys (TII) Decision Support System
on an ongoing basis
- Auditing of Eclipsys
(TII) Decision Support System data back to all feeder systems to ensure data
integrity

Perform in-depth analyses of profitability,
utilization, costing by service line, DRG, etc.

Prepare customized reports for both
internal use and as required for external agencies

Develop and lead training programs for new
and current users of Eclipsys (TII) Decision Support System

Responsible for yearly budget activities
related to updating of Departmental Cost Manager (DCM)

Produces Quarterly Profitability reports
-
Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload
and respond to urgent requests

Adheres to internal controls and reporting
structure
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance,
business administration, or related field
-
Four years of experience in health care or
related experience with a heavy emphasis in one or more of the following
areas: financial analysis, financial reporting, financial operations,
database management and cost accounting

Minimum of three years of experience with
the Eclipsys (TII) Decision Support System
-
Proficient in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets,
Crystal Reports, database management, cost accounting, health care finance
and hospital financial systems
-
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal
communication skills
