JOB SUMMARY Analyzes, designs, configures, develops and monitors of Hyperion System 9 to meet the business needs. The role works closely with the Finance community in the School of Medicine to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance Finance system functionality. Adds value to the financial software applications and business through their knowledge of the Hyperion products and through their constructive teamwork with the business and IT teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Customer Service · Works with functional and IT areas to understand and meet the reporting needs of the SOM · Assist the CFO in the implementation of the SOM vision and goals of the SOM Finance Team · Responsible for taking a proactive approach to servicing customers · Provide written and oral status updates to management · The individual must be a self-motivated, results orientated person who pays close attention to details and ensures accuracy · The individual must be able to thrive in an environment of managing multiple tasks with fixed deadlines
Hyperion · Provides specialist level functional and development knowledge in designing Hyperion System 9 solutions to meets business requirements · Make recommendations and implement design enhancement to expand the use of the application as the primary financial analysis tool · Understands the business processes and how the application supports the business processes and applies this knowledge to best solve problems · Understands dependencies and interrelationships between separate functional modules of Hyperion among forms, business rules, calculation scripts, variables and essbase databases. Design, build and troubleshoot in the areas with this knowledge · Assists in user requirements gathering and conduct documentation designs · Provides alternatives based on best practices and application functionality · Develops functional specifications and works with technical resources to complete object development and testing · Assist with dashboard creation and maintenance · Assist with managing, coordinating, developing, and documenting user acceptance testing · May lead and coordinate the work of a small project team · Have a strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting in order to work closely with financial controllers to meet their reporting needs timely · Develop and perform training sessions for business user and end users

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, General Business Administration or Management Information Systems degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience.
