JOB SUMMARY: Provides consultation, guidance, and training related to cultural and professional development programs to build employee/leadership competencies, satisfaction and reduce turnover. Assists in the goal of creating an educated, committed and vibrant workforce utilizing the existing institutional Organizational Development, Employee Development, Recognition and Process/Quality resources and fill in identified gaps with customized development solutions. Ensures the quality of Institutional and CMC specific programs through effective needs assessment, design, evaluation and learning reinforcement. Employee advocate who will escalate situations, issues or behaviors that are counterproductive to a professional workplace and follows through to outcome. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Social Work and 2 years of direct and related experience. EQUIPMENT: Standard personal computer and office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard office environment. This position requires a high degree of visibility and interaction with managers and employees working in correctional facilities located through the state. Travel required. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code. Any qualifications to be considered as equivalents in lieu of stated minimums require the prior approval of the Chief Human Resources Officer.
