JOB SUMMARY: To provide day-to-day processing and management of assigned activities that include timeliness of award establishment and a reasoned application of research administration principles appropriate to the circumstances. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ø Reviews and enter all proposal data into the PeopleSoft database. Ø Reviews/updates/initiates all award and budget data in order to achieve over-all target objective of seventy-two (72) hours for award set-up and budget load. Ø Re-establishes any account found to have incorrect or otherwise unacceptable attribute data within seventy-two (72) hours. Ø Corrects database attribute(s) in response to appropriate request from Sponsored Research function or other central business operation.
MARGINAL OR PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two years experience with research administration. EQUIPMENT: Standard office equipment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION OF POSITION: Standard office environment. OTHER: Specific job requirements or physical location of some positions allocated to this classification, may render this position security sensitive, and thereby subject to the provisions of Section 51.215, Texas Education Code.
