JOB SUMMARY: 

To provide a high level of staff assistance to a President’s Council member in carrying out the missions of the institution.  Organizes, coordinates, and performs  highly responsible administrative duties and supervises an office clerical staff.  

MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:  

  • Responsible for executing, with minimal direction, administrative duties at the highest level.
  • Exercises considerable discretion and judgment.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates administrative duties.
  • Assists top executive in establishing and attaining goals and objectives.
  • Maintains a broad organization perception to effectively carry out the internal and external relationships of the office.
  • Coordinates and interacts with other executives and administrators or their associates, within institutional, system, or governmental settings.
  • Prepares or directs preparation of reports, graphs, and charts.
  • Responsible for seeing that office operations are effective and efficient.
  • Responds to or initiates correspondence of a confidential or technical nature.
  • Prepares meeting agendas.
  • Interviews and selects candidates for clerical positions within the department.
  • Adheres to internal controls established by department.
  • Performs related duties as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: 

Associate’s degree or equivalent and five years of related experience. 

EQUIPMENT: 

Standard office equipment. 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: 

Standard hospital, clinical and/or office environment.
